What happens when the Crowdfunding ends?

Once our Crowdfunding ends, you will receive a receipt for your chosen Crowdfunding pledge; we encourage you to check this to ensure your pledge has gone through successfully. Please note that we won’t be fulfilling failed customer pledges so it is important that you check this so you get all of your goodies when it comes to fulfilment time!

BACKERKIT SURVEYS (SHIPPING & ADD ONS) Upon receiving your successful receipt from Kickstarter, this will now mean that your pledge has gone through and you can relax knowing that your products will be accounted for during manufacturing. However! Your steps do not end here… we will be sending out your BackerKit Pledge Manager Survey where you can select additional add-ons! It is through these surveys that we will also charge shipping. Please note, your Kickstarter pledge receipt will say $0.00 shipping as we don’t charge that fee through Kickstarter. So all shipping related costs will come in the BackerKit survey section.

Are all Stretch Goals free?

Setting stretch-goals gives us the opportunity to build on the already awesome content that awaits, whilst also allowing us the chance to give back to our community. As some stretch goals come at a greater expense than others, this means that not all of these can come as a free addition. More information is provided in each of the Stretch Goal updates.

How do I get add-ons?

There are two ways to get add-ons! Either add them to your pledge through BackerKit Crowdfunding when selecting your reward or via BackerKit Pledge Manager after the campaign closes.

Will you ship to my country?

We ship almost everywhere in the world, however unfortunately due to import laws, customs or postal situations, several countries make it impossible for us to ship to them. In light of this, we are unable to ship to the below countries: Russia Ukraine Israel Iran Belarus Moldova Faroe Islands Virgin Islands Guam Seychelles Falkland Islands In addition, we cannot ship to any APO, FPO, DPO or PO box addresses. Certain countries will be liable for additional customs charges. These countries include: Brazil South Africa Chile Argentina Mexico US

How do I pay for shipping?

We don’t charge shipping during the crowdfunding; shipping costs will be charged via BackerKit once surveys have been sent and dimensions/weights have been confirmed.

The estimated shipping costs on the Shipping Graphic of the Campaign page are based on current size, weight and volume estimates of the products listed within each pledge tier and are subject to change. We aim to give the most close to accurate shipping prices as possible and don’t anticipate for confirmed shipping prices to stray far from this, however we appreciate everyone’s understanding that the global shipping industry is constantly changing.

Some of our products are still in the prototyping phase, which means as soon as their available weights and dimensions are available, the shipping price will be entered into your BackerKit survey. We design and manufacture our products internationally and will always aim to keep shipping prices as low as possible for our backers.

Do you shipping estimates include VAT?

Please note that costs outlined on the Shipping Graphic are Ex VAT. VAT for our EU and UK backers will be charged as part of the BackerKit survey. Make sure you stay tuned in the BackerKit updates for more details on VAT as the campaign progresses.

Will I be able to change my address once the Crowdfunding period ends?

The process of changing addresses once you’ve submitted your pledge will be dependent on where in the production and fulfilment process we are. We’d encourage all backers to use an address (if possible to the individual) that you’re as certain you can be, will be secure in 12 months time.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
